Tempura – Restaurant Kiraku
Tempura is seafood and vegetables deep fried in a light batter made of eggs and flour.
It is typically eaten by a wide range of people at home. Prawn tempura is especially popular with kids. It can be eaten with salt or dipping sauce.
Tempura may be eaten as a main dish with rice and miso soup. It also comes as a topping for udon and soba noodles.
At Restaurant Kiraku in Nayamachi Shopping Street, their tempura set meal comes with a few side dishes. There are many other tempura meals including ‘tendon’ which is assorted tempura on top of rice.
